This literally just happened...

So I've been sick on and off this week and missed two days of work (non consecutive) and this morning I woke up with a sore throat and generally wasn't feeling super awesome. We had been planning on going to a get together with friends this evening and our kid was excited about it. Before that she went to a big knitting show thing so I stayed home and watched Netflix with the kid (an afternoon of TMNT isn't actually half bad, lol).

As the day went on I was feeling worse and worse and started to get a bit nauseous on top of it. I texted her after I had a shower (sometimes they make me feel better) to let her know that I was sick and wasn't going to go out tonight. I was happy to drive out to meet her so she could take our kid with her since he wanted to go.

Well, she pretty much says that she thinks I should just come out anyway and I'm just being introverted. One of our friends is there and I hear her say that I'm not coming out and don't want to bring our kid. In my mind I'm fucking losing it. Like bitch I just said I could drive to meet you and you said that didn't make much sense so don't bother.

It also doesn't help that in the back of my mind I know she really only wants me to come out while I'm sick so I could watch the kid while she socializes since that's her general MO.

So yeah, she just minimized me being sick, implied that I'm just being introverted while also making it all my fault that our kid isn't going to go out. All in the space of a one minute conversation on the phone.

Like for fucks sake. Now I'm sick and pissed off.
