Same. I was like:

• The age gap: I've seen enough "people who cried 'Pedophile'" on Tumblr to take this with a grain of salt. It's not like Sadie is 25 and Lars is 13 or something. We never actually got confirmation on this, but from their behaviours I always assumed he was around 17 and she was like, 19 at most (a lot of countries consider 18 being "officially adult"). Two years isn't that significant a difference.

• Island Adventure: yeah, Sadie was horrible back then and Steven didn't realize it because he still had that "I'm helping everyone!" mindset. I don:t like that episode a lot.

• The New Lars: You know, as cringeworthy as that entire episode was, it made me realize that everyone who knows Lars misunderstands him as much as we did, and they all need to have the same realizations we had in Wanted. Lars isn't a delinquent, he's someone with crippling anxiety who, in an attempt to put on an "I don't care" face, ends up coming across as an absolute asshole. And Steven and Sadie are the only ones who know that. This arc is not just his and it's far from over; I don't believe it'll be until way after he's back on Earth.

• Lars' Head: Yeah, no.

It is an interesting read, but this person is being far more defensive and one-sided than they need to be, and too biased in their views to look at it from am objective/narrative way.
