There is the possibility he might be going through a psychosis. When I went though it I was paranoid of everyone even the closest people around me. Over analyzing every little thing and blowing it out of Proportion.

A lot of this does seem like bipolar as well and if memory serves correct he lost his sister recently mixed with the divorce, complications with wife’s pregnancy etc can all inflict trauma on someone which if not handled correctly can lead to issues down the line.

The one thing people rarely talk about when it comes to getting sober is it can become incredibly isolating especially in the music scene where partying is such a big part of it. You end up alone, stuck with your thoughts because almost your entire social life revolved around going out and getting drunk with people. This is also something that can be hard to navigate if you don’t have help. If he is bipolar than his brain chemistry is already off balance and it becomes even more so with alcohol

This is all just conjecture at this point but I really hope everything works out
