Everyone here acting like the pandemic over?

They're not crowded with covid patients... they completely mismanaged the hospital system and over prepared for covid and as a result decreased their capacity to handle regular patients. I know I'm going against the reddit grain here and will get chased by a pitchfork mob but the reason many people are resuming their daily lives here is because the data is coming out and it's clearly showing that the disease isn't nearly as bad as we made it out to be. The average american has a greater chance of dying in an auto accident on your daily commute to work than you do from dying from this disease let that sink in. https://www.livestories.com/statistics/california/san-diego-county-car-accident-deaths-mortality Yet for some reason we aren't shutting down our highways and banning cars.

My sister and her husband and 2 of my friends are doctors and are reporting absolutely crazy things. Hospitals are going broke because nobody is going in to get treated. This means that they are actually FIRING doctors in some cases and many people are getting sick or dying from other preventable illnesses because they are now terrified to go to the hospital. My sister and her husband are currently no longer being paid overtime and their hospital isn't contributing to their retirement fund anymore. We're really treating them like heros right? There isn't a single hospital in san diego that is over run with covid patients and that's a fact. The way people reported this story was just with a warped headline to make you think they are - it's classic clickbait.
