Why is everyone just disregarding the pve component of ow2?

Whilst i understand and somewhat agree with your point.

I do think we need to stop using the "they stopped creating new content on the main game" as an argument because the game came out in 2016. We got a good 4 years of new, progressive content. I personally think that is incredibly reasonable of a game that cost £50.

Are you expecting them to create a new game whilst also putting in the same level of development on their older game and keep the expenses up on both? It's very common in the entertainment industry to have these "dry" or "silent" parts of development as this drums up hype for a new game.

They would be shooting themselves in the foot if they continued full development of OW1 whilst also developing OW2.
