Most people who are unemployable, homeless and lonely are not happy.

Most multimillionaire actors have a disconnect from reality and the plight of common people, if we didn't have to worry about jobs to provide for ourselves it wouldn't be on the list, if having a place to live and not just pissing money down the drain to a land Lord wasn't a thing that wouldn't be on the list, if you could rely on friends to care for you in your old age and if we didn't need companionship and to know another human being on the level of family then it wouldn't be on the list either..... in fact the things mentioned here have been at the forefront of people's mind since modern man came to be, these things aren't some modern invention, they are intrinsic to mankind itself...I mean I get what he'd trying to say but it's still stupid, I have met a lot more happy people with those things sorted put than I have not and no it's not a guarantee of happiness but it's a good shot, but to walk the path than to toil about only to discover that you wasted your time and it's almost to late to get back on track.... I mean you can jump from the path off the cliff any time you want, hell the fall will be more fun the closer you get to the top, you think you'd be happier being a beach bum somewhere now or after you quit your decent paying job and sold your house to fund being a beach bum?

Trust me I've done it before, it's better to have money a place to stay and a steady income than try to figure out where your next meal is coming from or where to sleep so you don't get hassled or robbed...

I guess what I am saying is that the sort of happiness stupid quotes like this promote doesn't exist, no one is just happy in every facet of life at every moment, happiness comes, goes and even lives besides things like grief and pain, to just be happy just can't be done, not on any sort of meaningful time scale, no matter what you do or where you are unhappiness will eventually find you just as the happiness did.

Happiness must come from within.
