Is everyone really earning over 30k?

I didn't breach 30 until I started working as a coder.

I graduated in politics, worked in Westminster for an MP (£25k) then as a charity lobbyist (£26k) and my first job in Programming after doing a bootcamp was £25k. The progression since then has been:

£25k -> £30k -> £35k -> £40k -> £43k -> £48k (Lead Software Engineer). With 4 years experience I'm underpaid at £48k but I have good shares that are set to make a chunk of change next year.

Probably get to £55k before summer though. Programming is actually ridiculous. Nearly every single day you are invited to apply to jobs through linkedin or email.
