Everyone should read the Medicare for All Bill (Sanders sponsored). Section 107: It shall be unlawful for a private health insurer [or employer] to sell [or provide] health insurance coverage that duplicates the benefits provided under this Act. Banning all private health insurance. This is extreme.

I wish things like eye exams and basic dental were covered under taxes. If you're low income on benefits it's actually covered, but it should be expanded to people just above the poverty line, like the $25-35K/year range folks. Most retail and services workers would fall into that salaries range.

For example I'm getting glasses. Eye exams actually used to be covered and then they changed it a years ago. An exam is $100 out of pocket. I'd be okay with purchasing my own lenses and frames on my own. Just give me the test results and I can look for suitable solutions online to buy.

Dental should be exams, xrays, wisdom teeth, emergency services and cleanings covered with taxes. It's weird how a certain part of your body it's handled differently than regular health care. Childhood Ortho should be government funded as well if you're under 18. I'm actually against adult orthodontics going under insurance because specialists will raise their prices to cover the additional insurance cost. In my experience it's better to just save up, use your credit card, line of credit or get a low interest loan from the bank and shop around for a deal and pay out of pocket.

Travel insurance is a no brainier I think that's better with insurance.
