Everyone's an Animal Rights Activist when the Victim is a Dog or Cat

So what? Would you prefer they go out into the wild to die slowly to a bear or a pack of wolves?

Yes actually, as the result of their natural life cycle. At least at that point they were given a real chance at life instead of being slaughtered criminally young to satiate someone's taste buds.

At least we kill them humanely, they feel no pain, and they supply us with the biggest amounts of protein that plant based food ever could

Except they aren't killed humanity, and I'd argue that even if you killed them in the most harmless way possible, you still stripped another being of its life needlessly. If you're argument is that it's for protein, then it's your own ignorance since plenty of plant based foods either naturally have protein or is fortified with it.

The human body was designed to be omnivorous, meaning we eat both meat and plants, but if the human body is to function at peak capacity we need the resources meat provides us

Not true at all. The American Dietetic Association states that well-planned vegan diets “are appropriate for all stages of the life cycle, including infancy, childhood, and adolescence.” Other health organizations around the world also agree.

it's also part of our nature to eat meat, would you try to tell a lion to stop eating meat? No! Because it's in the animal's nature

It's also commonplace for animals in nature to have non-consensual sex (aka rape) and unbridled brutality against their own kind. Let's not place our moral compass in that of what is "natural". Not to mention that a lion has to eat meat vs your average person who is simply choosing to.
