Yeah. For a smart speaker, I find it very frustrating to request music with it. Most times I just want some random music in a particular genre, but it seems to assume every request is for a particular artist or is a song title and will start playing something completely unrelated to the genre I requested. I don't even bother anymore.

Try requesting "Peruvian pan flute music" and enjoy that EDM track the Google home wants you to hear instead! :P

Even when I do want something specific, I have trouble requesting it. There was a soundtrack I was really into recently, but one track on the album has the same title as the album, so: "Hey, Google, play the NameOfTheAlbum soundtrack". It plays just the one track with the same title followed by completely unrelated songs.

My Google home music request interaction usually goes something like this:

"Hey, Google, play SomeGenre music."

"Okay, here's a song called SomeGenre by Some Artist."

"Okay, Google. Stop. Play SomeGenre music."

"Okay, here are some (unrelated) songs."

"Okay, Google. Stop." /gives up
