The Eviction Lab at Princeton University gives a detailed account of the American housing crisis

I can relate to this. Other, more wealthy, members of the family treated me like I had no shot in life as early as I can remember, because my single mother and I were poor. I feel like I got left behind. My grandfather is a millionaire. I started working at 15, doing odd jobs. Got my first ever “real job” at 18. I was unable to go to college because the money just wasn’t there. I never got any scholarships. Financial aid from the state/feds was a joke. Didn’t even cover total cost for books. I have been working over 40 hours a week since 18. I don’t have any savings. All of my money goes to rent, food, and utilities. I can’t imagine spending my entire life this way.
