Evidence is mounting that psychedelic drugs can help treat diseases. Here are the most promising uses

I’ve never tried ecstasy but I have used mdma. I would recommend going with a low dose as I’ve had problems with my anxiety when I’ve taken too much. Also make sure to give it some time. It takes me about an hour to feel it after swallowing, and I’ve had it take up to 2 before so be careful. I’d recommend a quarter dose the first time. I used to do it more often but recently it’s been about twice a year. Usually for concerts that I wouldn’t have been able to get through before treatment.

I’ve been trying to think of how to answer your question about the pros and cons, but it’s hard because of how subjective a persons experiences are. I’ve tried mushrooms, lsd, dmt# something( I’ll edit it in I can’t remember exactly), and Ibogaine. The best advice I’ve been given for using psychedelics is to Relax and go were it takes you, even if it’s somewhere unpleasant. Don’t try to fight it, that’s a recipe for a truly awful time.

Over the last few years I’ve used psychedelics about once a year, though it used to be more. I found my single ibogaine trip to be the most therapeutic, but also far and away the most intense. It was about as far away from fun as you can get. I’ve heard positive things about mushrooms but I’ve only used them a handful of times and quite a while ago. My post above mentions lsd.

Honestly meditation and my thc vape is what I’ve found to help me out most day to day. My drinking has become something for special occasions.

If you’ve made it this far I’d like to add therapy. I thought about it for years before finally deciding to pull the trigger. I knew how I was feeling wasn’t normal but I refused to believe that I had ptsd. I reconnected with my Sister and it pushed me to get help. I just walked in. If you walk in they have to see you, no appointment. It’s what has made the most difference. I don’t believe there’s anyone it couldn’t help, whatever your issues are, but there are specific therapies for ptsd that do work.

This reply got away from me. Hope it helps.
