Evolve is losing 2,500 players per day. The patch will make it worse.

You're saying balancing the game for the top level players is bad but at the same time that's what makes for a good game.

Top level players are those who can play the game and use everything they have how it's intended, if the majority of the people playing are bad and unable to play it to it's fullest that's not the games fault, that's just people being bad.

Sure by balancing the game for the casuals you get a better playerbase but your game will be poorly balanced and overall just bad. Do you want to make your game only played by casuals who just want some quick fun? The whole purpose of a game being an e-sport is that it's balanced well, you'll never get a balanced game if you cater to bad players.

You contradict yourself heavily when you talk about the game aspiring to be an e-sport and then you talk about balancing it according to the non skilled players, those two things don't go hand in hand.

Besides, Turtle Rock has already stated their intention is to have both audiences in mind. They want the game to be competitive and challenging and well balanced from both sides to the competitive players but at the same time not too frustrating for new players and it's a hard line to balance. Nonetheless they already know this and are working to get things as close to it as possible. It's not easy.
