so the first message he sent was this:

him: Hey [my name]! Just wanted to see how you were doing

i didn't answer that message and he sent another after saying:

him: Would you rather not talk?

i then answered that one saying:

me: You disappeared on me for a while so I don’t know what you want to talk about

and he said:

him: Honestly you’re right. I wanted to catch up, but its a scumbag move to just be gone this long and jump back like nothing happened. Sorry man, I hope everything’s been goin well

and i haven't replied to that because there really is nothing left to say. he knows its a scumbag move yet he's doing it still so i have nothing to say. i'm just moving on with my life because he made that choice for us already. he'd only be contacting after all this time because he can't find someone else, otherwise he wouldn't have left. you don't let someone go if you actually wanted them in your life, they only come back when it's convenient
