Ex-Prisoners of Reddit, what was the worst thing you saw inside the prison walls?

Worst prison I've been to was Salinas valley level 4 in california. One of the major gangs was the northern mexicans (nortenos) and on one particular day they were supposed to be doing a "removal"

A removal happens when a gang member has done something bad enough that their own gangs deems them no good and trys to kill them or hurt them bad enough to where they will go to protective custody.

This removal was said to be taking place because said northern mexican was caught doing drugs by another homeboy, the northerners have strict rules against drug use as they are a smaller group and rely on being in better shape, and more militant then their enemy's. Which they always are.

Once we hit the yard that day you can tell something was going to pop off because they weren't acting as relaxed as they would if nothing bad was going down.

Ended up seeing the northern mexicans stab one of their own like 50 times, another fucked up rule they have is if a nortenos is ordered to stab another inmate they cant stop stabbing until the guards stop em and they have to get caught with the knife. Or the same will happen to them. I've never heard or seen another prison gang/group as hard-core as they are.
