You've got that wrong.
He always argues semantics in these sorts of threads because he thinks he knows better than everyone else
I don't think I know better than everyone else. When someone is wrong about something, I don't want them to project complete misinformation. For example right here, this will give the inappropriate message to inexperienced players that some cars are "overpowered" and that if you want to do well you must use those cars. When you use statements like "best" and "turning" together, you imply that it has an actual effect on overall gameplay, something at which does not happen with Rocket League's cars.
he thinks he knows better than everyone else since he wrote a guide that appeared in the sidebar mostly penned by BroadwayRL way back.
I would respond the same exact way regardless of that post even existing. BroadwayRL did get the basis of the underlying system, which is still used today in almost the exact same way. What his post didn't say is its importance that has on RP. I even credit him.
He's got a big ego about being right
I've got a big ego when people tell me I'm wrong when I am right. If I am wrong, and there is real evidence and proof that I am wrong, I acknowledge it so. Whenever some people just completely obliterate what I say because they think I am wrong and have no statistical data otherwise, then there is no reason for them to even respond.
The even bigger point is I try not to be wrong so I do not spread misinformation, the same reason why I correct people.
So go ahead, base an opinion off me, but that doesn't mean other players should suffer from complete misinformation.
