Excessive fructose consumption may cause a leaky gut, leading to fatty liver disease

Not sure why I was downvoted, but in the 90%, a lot of emphasis was put on (particularly artificial) trans fats as they were a major problem.

For a sense of scale: the FDA once estimated that approximately 95% of prepared cookies, 100% of crackers, and 80% of frozen breakfast products contained trans fat.

What I meant by « regulated » is that there are now regulations in place that prohibit the addition of artificial trans fats in foods (like PHO) in a lot of countries (the US and Canada, as of 2018, for example).
