Exclusive Gameplay From Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice's Hirata Estates[Gameinformer]

I'm one of those annoying From fans that will unabashedly say that the Soulsborne games "ruined" other games for me. Let me get that out there.

I found Bloodborne to be one of the most original and compelling games of all time, since they took their existing Souls "skeleton" and went in an entirely different direction with it.

But I found Dark Souls 3 to be the weakest of the trilogy. It started to feel to me that they felt shackled by staying true to the Dark Souls formula, and were struggling to come with ideas that could keep in fresh without just rehashing old stuff. I still liked DS3, but it felt stale to me, a little bit.

This is why I'm ecstatic over their new direction with S:SDT. Since they don't have a precedent, they are free to explore new ideas, as they did with BB.
