That's a problem I've seen over the last few years in WoW.

Some team creates a shitty product/launch/expansion/whatever, new team gets brought in to take over and turns that product into something awesome or occasionally amazing, but then when they are tasked with creating the next new expansion or product, launch is shit, people hate it, we go through something like this right now, then a new team comes in to take over, they make it awesome, ad infinitum.

It reminds of something that happened to the Pittsburgh Penguins. We had this coach for a while (this is way back like 2005-2008 ish) who was known for being a real hardass. He had an incredible tem composition (including Sidney Crosby, the greatest player currently in the game) but kept coming up short. I think it was the 08-09 season, halfway through they fired him and temporarily assigned their Minor League head coach to the NHL team. Suddenly, they were winning games. A lot of games. And they ended up winning the Stanley Cup (the championship). And then for the next 5 years they struggled again (actually 7, but he was there for another 5).

The cycle didn't really continue like it seems to with WoW. But it seems interestingly parallel.
