Have you experienced depression? What helped you the most?

Yes I’ve had clinical depression on and off but twice in my life i had it bad with a serious impact to my wellbeing and lasted 8 months +. I didn’t realise how desperate my depression was until I got it under control and looking back. At the time I was a mess.

I done CBT therapy, ever Changing antidepressants, self medicated with Valium, weed, alcohol.

What actually helped. Online hypnosis, extensive reading on psychology, letting go of past anger and living in the present. I lived in the past and feared the future. Eventually eating food more than once every couple of days. Trying to find contentment in the most simple pleasures of life. Getting washed, dressed and making a meal was a start but well worth it.
