Experiences with kangaroo meat?

I'm going to be that guy (sorry)

Kangaroos are culled for "environmental" reasons sure but the main reason they exist in a lot of areas in large enough numbers to make it economical to do so is a byproduct of land clearing for agriculture - particularly land clearing for beef production.

That and because they are "hunted" rather than farmed the industry isn't bound by the same standard of animal welfare practices as the beef or lamb industry (not that we bother enforcing any of those standards anyway)

Don't get me completely wrong here - as fair as being environmentally friendly and sustainable roo meat is still much better than lamb or beef but at the same time it's not as good as the PR people trying to get you to buy roo meat would like you to believe.
