I agree, but that leads to the million dollar question.... how? GOP still has the senate, corruption is still flowing like water, look at Sessions/Whitaker for just the latest example. There are no cheques and balances. There is absolutely ZERO accountability and 100% deniabilty. Anybody with anti-social teenagers are probably familiar with this behavior. It's easier to do-whatever-the-fuck-you-want and ask for forgiveness later, than ask permission and get shut down from the get go. Expect we the fucking people don't even get the respect of an apology--even in something so transparent and blatant as this last shitshow. They literally create a narrative where they are just being victimized every single time. Has there been ANY accountability from any of the GOP controversy of the past two years? Sorry to be pesamistic but we let them get away with it once, they knew they could do it again and again with no consequence, I honestly don't forsee the next two years being different. He will keep his goon squad close. stay in office for his term and in 100 years kids taking history class will learn of his indiscretions, but we the people will ultimately be held accountable because well: democracy!

Everything happens for a reason right? In a weird kind of way this is good for us. Baptism by fire. Two things we can take away is hopefully we learned our lesson and 2020 has a respectable candidate to get these clowns out, hopefully people stay motivated and educated and get to the polls and there isn't any foreign or domestic intrusion or manipulating of votes and 2nd- the bar is set so incredibly low right now anybody is going to look like the pope at this point. I mean unless Rudy "truth is not truth" Gulianni runs and wins I don't see how it can get much worse than the situation we're already in.
