I don't think there was anything like that. But, afaik, Korean males have to enlist by the end of the year when they turn 28 in international age. For the '92 liners (Baekhyun, Chanyeol and Chen in EXO) it's this year. Idols are sometimes allowed to putt off the enlistment a little bit past that if they're actively promoting. Also, those who have a child can postpone until the child is 2 yo.

Unless SM suddenly decides to give Chanyeol a solo, I don't think he'll be promoting anything. Baekhyun could be promoting solo or with SuperM, but nothing is guaranteed. With Chen, it's up in the air, but honestly, even if he doesn't enlist I don't think he will be preparing for a comeback and promoting with a group with a newborn child. So, the chances of them being available for a group comeback at the beginning of the next year are kinda slim.

TBH, I'd rather have Kyungsoo and Xiumin release solo music than an EXO comeback with only half a group present.
