Extreme Danger - Now is the time to talk about right-wing extremism and those who fuel it

Sure, I mean there's certainly merit to that.

But the three up in QLD who shot two police officers and a neighbour, who are now dead due to SERT being called in were conspiracy theorists who thought religion was THE problem, they had this Jesuit and free mason theory of government and police, still very alt right, "free Australia" style message (Gareth Train was the property own and one of the gun men), but religion is absolutely not the central vector, it's a big one, especially in more international scale terrorism and conspiracy, but not the modus operandi of radicalization.

Which is why I suggest finding constants in people prone to radicalization, or a psychological analysis of the process, rather than the actual issue that is being radicalized, for that is very relative and has countless potential narratives, while the radical are a small majority that split into similar thought patterns from the mainstream culture and society.
