Exxon predicted in 1982 exactly how high global carbon emissions would be today | The company expected that, by 2020, carbon dioxide in the atmosphere would reach roughly 400-420 ppm. This month’s measurement of 415 ppm is right within the expected curve Exxon projected

Funny how it's just kind of glazed over that in the belief that this would collapse the world economy is the idea that it's fine to have an industry, in this case one company, that can have this effect if altered. Which I'm not so sure this would happen. We have diversified enough to withstand oil shortage. The biggest enemy of actual change in this department is fear of mild discomfort and inconvenience. We can still move goods with the exsisting infrastructure, as many ships, trains and trucks are Diesel and can run on biodiesel without modifications.

This could actually turn farmers into millionaires and billionaire's, hasten a Renaissance in economic practices that only restrain mankind and mismanage resources, and motivate the average citizen to put up with a little discomfort and inconvenience that will benefit America and the world for generations.

Someday we can break free of the objectivist spector of invented economic collapse and realize that any system born if the .human imagination can be changed by it using simple agreement and corporation. In many cases, refusal to recognize the subjective nature of most of what we call civilization is the only thing holding us back.
