F/19/5'3" [145lbs > 119lbs = 26lbs lost] (May 2020 to October 2020) Changing my diet was the biggest life change - in two words: PORTION CONTROL! Once I got used to eating smaller portions, I realised it wasn't necessary to eat until I was stuffed everytime I ate.

I started losing weight with OMAD which I did for about 2 weeks, and at that point I was really struggling to make it to my 1200 calorie goal each day because it was really hard to eat so much in one sitting. I think after I did that I sort of "trained" myself into eating smaller portions. A lot of the time when I thought I was hungry I was actually just bored, stressed or upset.

So for tips when it comes to reducing portion sizes, I would suggest a few things. Once I switched to IF (and I switched from that to how I eat in quite a regular pattern now) I started eating small but often - and I use 'heavy' but low calorie foods to get me through the day to my next main meals. Typically the small things I'll eat between main meals include boiled/scrambled eggs, small bowls of porridge, loads of fruit salads. And for my main meals I'll typically have salad, stews, meat with lots of veg on the side. Meats I usually eat include chicken (boiled), tuna, gammon. I didn't cut out any particular food either. I still had pizza, steak, chocolates and sweets. Also I try employ that side of me I was talking about earlier - I try ask myself "am I going for food right now because I'm hungry, or am I just stressed about this essay?"

Anyway sorry if this was long and quite rant-ish but I hope it helped! Thank you :)
