I (F 31) worked out tonight and can’t stop crying

keep a journal and take weekly pictures of your body. a little bit of self loathing is normal when you start on your weight loss journey but make sure you’re channeling that motivation into action.

learn how to count your calories (myfitnesspal app is a godsent)

don’t hesitate to ask for help in the gym, a mentor and a gym buddy is a great way to help you stay consistent (make sure they’re actually hardworking an knowledgeable)

strength training and building muscles is key to long term weight loss; you’re missing out on a lot of benefits if you’re dismissive about weightlifting and muscle building.

remember that people get out of shape all the time, a lot of things change as we get older and so do our priorities. acknowledging that you a problem is the hardest step of them all, you’re already head and shoulders above many folks so keep it up!
