F(47) got really thrown off balance by M(39) avoidant

Despite what others are saying I think he could definitely be avpd. PDs affect every individual in a completely unique way, and every individual is completely unique in themselves, so we can't really say 'oh he initiated and tried to seduce you so he mustn't be avoidant' there are inevitably many avoidants who are able to do this seeing as there are so many different kinds of people with avpd. Nobody here knows what was going on in his head when he was initiating, he could've been drowning in fear despite doing it so I wouldn't rule out him being avpd.

In my opinion avpd is the hardest PD to diagnose. At least in real life and not in a psychologists office. I've met people with every PD trait, my dad has PPD, my mom has BPD, my stepfather npd, one of my friends SzPD and every other PD, and my sisters boyfriend I heavily suspect has avpd, but it's so hard to really be confident in your telling because the hallmark of avpd is to conceal yourself and try to not let people truly perceive you.
