“ F**K Trudeau “ I just don’t get people.

I don't think anyone supported the protests in the government. They simply wanted to go and have a dialogue with them. When a band of protestors show up outside parliament, it's not like it's a random occurence. Whether we like it or agree with their reasons isn't the point, but rather the fact they are Canadians who are exercising their right to protest - and granted their protest was not in good form (I mean, they occupied Ottawa ffs) - it was still just that, a social movement. To deny it's existence, marginalize them, paint them all under the same brush and comparing them to the most evil regime in history (arguably, I think the bolsheviks were also evil but I digress) is asinine. It shows how much contempt Trudeau has for Canadians. It also polarizes people into US vs THEM, or RIGHT vs LEFT - when reality is we have many different shades of grey between us. It's sad. I'm seeing Canada turn to American style populism and its eroding the social hegemony which made Canada so great.

Again, I'm not saying I agree with the protest, or it's points, or that I supported the protestors. I'm simply stating that the government completely fumbled their response to it, and by drawing analogies to nazism - irreparable damage has been done to the Trudeau governments reputation as being fair and competent, as well as the reputation Canada has on the international stage as being heavy handed and taking the moral higher ground when in reality they're just foolish and naive.

I also don't like that they seized their money and assets. That's alarming to me honestly, and sets a very bad precedent for our future when it comes to political action. The protest from what I gather had nothing to do with what actual nazi's or neo-nazis want (which is, I'm assuming some racial genocide of people). So why would you call them nazis? Was it really a nazi really? No. It wasn't. To everyone that's obvious.

I'm not sure I agree with some of your other points, it hasn't really been my experience so far. I think our government scapegoats their responsibilities and when asked about economic situations and how theyre going to help Canadians, they spin spin spin. I am getting sick of it. Trudeau has been in power since 2015, and his government has let so many problems continue to affect Canada, whether its not standing up for us vs the US when it comes to tariffs, even with Biden (whos supposed to be friendly to us). Signing bad trade agreements that undercut our farmers with Europe. Allowing the CMHC to continue to sell mortgage insurance, effectively propping up the housing market and further inflating it's value and keeping housing out of reach of Canadians. Not to mention putting in no capital controls to stem the rampant money laundering that goes on inside our borders.

It's a mess, honestly, these are all economic issues which have been ignored and have festered into something unwieldy and affects not just us but our kids generations. I believe that if we have a healthy economy, our society will function better and people won't protest inequality because they'll all get a bigger piece of the pie. Instead Trudeau has pretty much been the exact same as his counterparts, I mean the guy had the audacity to hold an election because his narcissism told him he could win a majority again - and guess what - $600 million wasted, for what? The exact same government, and we're stuck with them until 2025. So thanks Trudeau, for nothing.

As for Max, I'm not saying he's the be all end all. And he's no Jack Layton. But he speaks from conviction, and that's a lot more then any of these other politicians can say for themselves. PPC has a long way to go and it does need to distance itself from the crazies and yahoos which lurk in dark corners, but I do think his values and his vision for Canada represent a better path forward and I hope he does win a seat one day. The real kicker for me was when I saw him speak with Jordan Peterson in a 1 hour in this podcast (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltZ7iGrF4BM). It really showed me how much the mainstream media has lied to me about what he represents and who he is, and given that he's just talking to the camera for 1 hour straight and is willing to have honest dialogue that I agreed with said a lot to me about the type of person he is. I'd suggest you check it out if you're curious and let me know what you think, I'm genuinely curious.
