It's based on all of the above. Though it may not be true. It would not surprise me. I also went to high school with a bunch of black kids 20 years ago. It was dangerous. There were fights all the time and even drive bys, and then my junior year they re-zoned the schools and it got pretty safe. There were still a lot of black kids but I guess they were more middle class, I don't know.

I don't really see there being that big of a gap and I don't see whites as particularly non-violent, especially whites a few decades ago. A bunch of the white men in my family for violence-prone when they were young.

But you asked me and I told you what I thought. I also would guess white Americans are more violent than Asian Americans when controlled for wealth.
