I have been so busy at work and the past 8 months I had not taken a vacation and the wife and kids were not happy. Having travelled a good part of the summer, it was clear that she wanted us to have a Fall get away. I really wasn't happy, the Fall is my busiest time of the year after all, so getting away was going to be an issue. I'd have to do a great deal of work on my lap top and calls during the vacation, but.....what could I do? I had an important job.

Jenny booked the vacation, I hadn't even checked it online, so I had no idea where we were going or what to expect. She packed the bags, I literally just showed up at the airport with them. When landed it was classic Fall NE vacation. It was still warm, not hot, but the weather was perfect to be honest.

When we pulled into the small town, it was quiet, eerily quiet. A few couples on the street, but otherwise very quiet, even for this time of the year. As we arrived at the B&B I wondered if there were even other guests at the inn? There was only one other car in the lot and it was a small bright pink smart car and the license plate was BARBIE. I smiled. Wondering who owned that car!

Once we stepped in, I could feel my breath deepen. MMMMM Maybe I did need this break after all?

But the girl working the desk was.......I had a hard time NOT staring and I stammered as she checked us in. I glanced over to my wife and she was smiling back to me.
