Why was I pushing myself today? Why didn't I stay outside, how hot was it? What was keeping me going? All things going through my mind as I ran at an easy and steady pace, the Suns rays beating down on my tanned back, I imagined cooking an egg on it.

I was dedicated to the rigorous upkeep of my body even after a rookie year NFL football injury in training camp, it was what I did all through high school, all through college and despite the injury and my dreams gone I still had an education I used to get into sports medicine. It wasn't playing on the field but was close enough.

STILL with this heat I shouldn't push myself too hard, I could feel sweat dripping in ever nook and cranny of my body, I had to smell so delicious right now. I didn't see anyone else out here so I confirmed to myself I was crazy.

I shook my water bottle and it was empty, having ran this route so many times I knew just ahead was a fountain to fill up the bottle, my mouth was already drying up despite the 32oz I just drank....

I round the corner and see the nice little area complete with a fountain and a tree for shade. Typically I would just run by it, but this was no typical day.

At first I thought my mind was playing tricks on me when I saw you as I approached then realized it was in fact a woman taking a breather in the shade. I slowed my run down to a walk, my heavy feet stomping into the ground just before I reached you, I wanted to soak you in, you looked gorgeous despite being drenched in sweat. You were petite and toned with playful eyes, defined curves in just the right places, just my type of gal.

I gave you a nod and flashed my pearly whites as I passed and walked towards the fountain. I could see your eyes taking me in as I passed, a light smile staying on my lips.

I push the fountains steel button and fill my water bottle, then pour it over me as I let out a satisfied "Ah....that's better" then fill the bottle up again. I then shake my arms and legs out and turn towards you and walk towards the respite of the shade.....

"Are we absolutely crazy for being out here in this heat or what?!" I asked as my eyes took a moment to take you in a little more...
