The Face Mask Wars - arrive in Ireland

Staff can refuse to serve anyone whenever they want. They would never be expected to put themselves at risk.

But what if they want to refuse service but don't feel safe doing it? If management don't provide security or whatever it takes for staff to feel they can safley refuse service they are not providing a safe working environment.

I agree that retail doesn't work that way and things that aren't safe or legal happen more often than in other sectors but we shouldn't tolerate those conditions anywhere.

I worked in retail for 3 years and did things because they "needed to be done". I now work in manufacturing and if there is no way to safely do a task it isn't done.
