Facebook worker living in garage to Zuckerberg: challenges are right outside your door

I was responding more to your link - which is about politicians earning <= $150k in all likelihood - owning guns and being liberal. That's not a contradiction.

I agree with you mostly to say that it's inconsistent to say "guns are bad" and to own tons of guns or be protected by tons of people with tons of guns. However, Zuckerberg is absolutely a big target for kidnappers. If they could get even 5% of his net worth as a ransom, it would be an amazing payday.

I am against people in general carrying guns most of the time. I think they do more harm than good. I still think I would be safer if I had guns. And if I got kidnapped, it would probably be easier and more lucrative for the kidnappers to take my Xbox rather than hope for 5% of my net worth to be worthwhile.

How about this, we agree to a law where if you are a celebrity or politician and have ever gotten in trouble with the law you are forbidden from owning a gun, being around one or hiring anyone who has one to protect you.

That's ridiculous. People who are in high profile jobs, or have high profile lives, and who have a lot of money, are much more at risk than others. It's why the president has the secret service follow him around, and same for his family (even if he is choosing the most expensive possible way for his family to be protected - by never being together, and usually being in insecure locations).
