These rules are not part of the rules on the tournament page. I suggest you amend them. In case you do not know what I am referring to, please find them below. In addition, you need to be clear and consistent with your usage of 'stand-in' and 'sub'.

General information: Check in starts 120 minutes prior to the event. In order to receive an invite from the client you need to have Dota2 started on the steam account that you have linked to your FACEIT accout. Format: bo1 and bo3 from semis We advise players that are streaming to have at least 5 minutes delay.

General Rules - Gamemode: Captains Mode (-CM)

  • Substitutions and stand-ins are not allowed.

  • We have strict policy and zero tolerance for cheating of any kind

  • If any of the rules stated here are not followed then admins reserve the right to disqualify the team/players in question.

  • If a rule is not described, the main admin may use any sanction, depending on the situation and make a decision from that.

  • Admins decisions are ultimate and out of discussion.

  • The winner of each regional open qualifier will qualify for the regional Closed Qualifier

  • Teams CAN sign up for both open qualifiers in their own region.

  • As premade team you have the option to register 5+2 players, 5 for the roster and 2 as substitutes.

  • Before the tournament starts captains are free to change the roster.

  • The 5 roster and 2 substitutes will be for the Closed Qualifier only.

  • No substitutions are allowed during the open qualifier

  • When a match is created in the bracket, all players will receive an invite to the lobby in the Dota 2 client.

  • You need to have Dota2 client opened in order to receive an invite to lobby

  • Make sure you have ‘’invites from non-friend’’ enabled in settings, so bot can invite you

  • To play matches in this competition, Players are forced to use the steam account they have registered on the FACEiT platform

  • All games are played on Valve servers through the Dota 2 client.

  • All matches is played with Captains Mode (CM).

  • Any violation against the rules will result in a immediate disqualify from the tournament

  • Check in starts 120 minutes before the tournament is started

  • Teams can join and reserve a spot for the tournament before the opening of the the Check in. Each spot will be preserved until 30 minutes before the tournament start and all team Captains need to confirm their team spot through a final Check in.

  • All matches up to the semifinal are played as BO1

  • Semifinal and final is played as BO3

  • Winner of the qualifier advance to the regional Closed qualifier of The Shanghai Major

  • Sides and picks aren't decided by the Dota2 client. Radiant side is given to the team which is higher seed in the BO1 match-up First pick is given to the Dire team

  • You are not allowed to register any player that is already invited for the closed qualifier or the major event.

  • Each qualifier will be played over the course of two days, rounds played are listed below for each day.

Chapter 1 – Cup Format Article 1. Game Mode Game mode options: - Captains mode All players must join the match within 15 minutes of the server being spawned. If some of the players do not join the match, it will be cancelled and your team will receive a forfeit loss. Any players who do not join are given an automatic AFK cool down. Once all ten players join the server the match will start. If you are disconnected from the server you will have three minutes to reconnect or you will receive a leaver cool down by our system If you leave the match before the system has awarded a win you will receive an automatic leaver ban by our system.

Chapter 2 – Game Settings Article 2. Game version The competition will use the latest available version of Dota2.

Article 3. Server settings All matches will be played on FACEIT servers.

Chapter 3 – Rules and violations

Article 4. Griefing & Trolling: You are not allowed to intentionally feed your enemies. You are not allowed to spam the base with wards. You are not allowed to intentionally kill yourself. You are not allowed to feed the enemy team with Couriers. You are not allowed to use spells in order to troll/grief someone such as (Forcestaff into enemy fountain) (Spam Banes nightmare)

Article 5. Verbal Abuse Repeatedly offensive language and verbal abuse. You can report players at the end of the match by using the thumbs up/down and picking the appropriate issue you had with them.

Article 6. Leaving & AFK Leaving and AFK will result in ban from the platform. These bans are accumulated, the more infractions the longer the ban will be.

Article 7. Pauses Each team has the right to pause the game for an acceptable duration to the issue at hand,the team pausing must announce it at least three seconds in advance and calls a coherent reason (exception: not necessary, if someone disconnects). The game must not be resumed before both teams agree to have the match resume. The max allowed pause time per match is fifteen(15) minutes. Once the fifteen minute pause time has been reached the opposing team is allowed to unpause and resume the match.

Article 7. In game Bug Abuse You are not allowed to use ANY in game bug. If you find a new one that is not detected you are obligated to report it.

Article 8. Ghosting If someone in the match is streaming you are not allowed to ghost the stream and check where the wards are placed. We advice streamers to have at least 5 minutes delay.

Article 9. Griefing & Trolling You can report players at the end of the match by using the thumbs up/down and picking the appropriate issue you had with them.

Chapter 4 - Other

Article 11. Stand-ins There will be no stand-ins for the Open Qualifier(See above for more info in regards to stand-ins for this event)

Article 12. Cheating We have strict policy and zero tolerance for cheating of any kind.

Article 13. Player Names Players must join the game server with the name they have registered on FACEIT, to avoid confusion for our admins, and your opponents. It cannot contain any racist or any other language which might be considered as insulting.
