The fact that this pedal does not have top mounted jacks is criminal.

I strongly disagree. JHS as a brand has survived (and thrived) despite numerous occasions where they were dishonest about the origins of their pedals. They are much more transparent nowadays, but that wasn't always the case.

Moog has created original designs for oscillators and filters and continues to innovate new products in the spirit of their prior designs, but with modern features and workflows. I get what you mean there. But I would consider EHX to be more in line with that. The new Eddy Vibrato has elements of the Clone Theory vibrato and PolyPhase envelope sensitivity in a new package.

Mooer revolutionized the mini pedal craze, such that even MXR and Ibanez have been influenced by them. They also have a whole line of original loopers and cab/amp sims. Their clones (such as the Rat, DS-1, Blues Driver, etc) have great and useful mods.

The working conditions/origins is a great point, and I respect that. But I don't think JHS is contributing anything meaningful or influential to the pedal industry.
