Fair warning to you people that want to roll an Enhancement Shaman

There are a lot of problems with the vanilla problem, ranging from the more obvious stuff to less apparent.

The macro/addon API from 2005/2006 is extremely broken by today's standards. Not only does it enable addons that automate the game, but it's also missing several features that are considered critical by modern standards.

There is no 40 yard range checker for example. As a raid healer in vanilla, if people are more than 30yds away from you you basically have to guess if you're in range to heal somebody. Extremely annoying.

There's no talent inspect function. This one drives private server guild leaders insane on the daily. There is also no permanent inspect window. If you inspect somebody and they run away, the inspect window disappears.

And obviously the client has zero ability to take advantage of modern hardware. In the Legion client I get 250 FPS stable in Orgrimmar. In the vanilla 1.12 client I get 40 FPS in Orgrimmar and it dips down to 20.
I have an i5 6600k OC to 4.06ghz, SLI GTX 970, 16gb DDR4 3200mhz RAM. And the client literally crashes if I load in too many resource intensive addons because it's a 32 bit executable, and can not exceed 3gb of memory usage.

There are a lot of little things like this that leads me to believe that there is zero chance of the original 1.12 client going on this journey with us. It's Blizzard afterall, the same company that HD remade a 20 year old game.
