I suppose I need to explain the full story here.

I was at the airport with my mon late at night and couldn't connect with my driver for some reason. I see a car pull up and he says he's an Uber, so I'm thinking "oh great, I can probably cancel my current request and just connect with this guy." It was late, we were incredibly tired, and I just wanted to get home.
We get into the car and he starts driving. I ask if we could connect via Uber app and he says "No, I'll just get my meter running on the Uber app and we can go from there." He shows me the app he's using, which I now know was just some Uber estimator app. I give him a confused look and he says "I've been driving with Uber for 5 years. I usually drive UberBlack but I can bring it down to UberX for you.".

I think "okay fine, as long as I'm charged UberX pricing." We get to my house, tells me it's $120 even though UberX would've been $25. He says "cash or credit." We start arguing and I threaten to call the cops. My mom doesn't understand Uber so didn't get why we were charged so much. She gives him $100 and says "I'm just gonna leave now, and I'm bringing your uncle outside to speak with him."

My uncle comes outside, tries to get both sides of the story. He ends up just giving the $100 saying "ok. it's late, we have work in the morning. Let's just leave this.".

In the meantime I got the guy's license plate. I understand what I did was completely idiotic. But at this point I just want to know what steps I can take to make sure he never pulls shit like this again.
