Faker's thoughts on Korean Solo Queue (translated).

I mean honestly a lot of the reasons he is getting frustrated with the game can be felt at any elo.

Although an admittedly small sample size of my last 20 games for over 80% of them my junglers winrate with champ was significantly lower (10+%) than the enemy jungler. It's like he says, how can you be expected to win when you have a first time master yi or 25% winrate over 10 game autofilled jungler vs a 66+% smurf jungler.

So often in solo queue people are playing stuff theyve literally played less than 4 times for the whole ranked season and they are against someone playing their 60+% winrate main champ, ofc they are going to get outperformed the vast majority of the time.

Riot needs to start doing performance based LP/MMR gains /losses. This would over all reward people that play consistently well. Many apps are able to track the wide variety of stats and they very accurately predict overall performance. MMR is a joke, id much prefer a 60+%winrate 1900 mmr player with good average KDA/KP/vision score over a 50/50 or negative winrate 2000 mmr player with shitty stats.

It makes no sense that someone that plays like shit and gets carried gets +20 lp and someone that did well with a losing team gets -20. If performance mattered that person getting carried could get +15 or +16 instead and the player on the losing team would get -15 or -16. This would encourage people to not just give up and troll and would make it so better players climb faster leading to divisions that more accurately represent the player skill group it is supposed to. Would also encourage people to not pick stuff they suck at or arent familiar with.

I feel like the knee jerk argument to this is " but what about if this happens! what if u get camped?" well that sure those situations suck but if you are a consistent good player over all you'd benefit. The only people who wouldn't like this are the people that go 50/50 while never improving and just rely on slot machine winstreaks to climb elo.
