Famitsu sheds light on Zelda: Twilight Princess HD's amiibo features.

Now if we go to Hard mode and 1 hit = 2 dmg the game isn't balanced......how so?

BECAUSE THE GAME IS BUILT AROUND THE EXISTING CALCULATIONS. You cannot modify ONE value and go "ok it's still balanced". God, like, this is not hard, you guys!

A cake works fine with one egg. You double the amount of eggs. IS THE CAKE STILL PROPERLY COOKED? No, it's fucking not, because you just doubled one ingredient without accounting for how that changes the recipe.

Whether or not it's balanced isn't about the specific numbers, it's about WHETHER OR NOT THEY FUCKING BALANCED IT. Did they redo the entire game to play properly with doubled damage? NO, THEY DIDN'T, so it's IMBALANCED.

Did they change the controls in Mario kart 8 so that turning was still functional in 200cc? No, they didn't! They made the cars go faster without any changes! That means 200cc is imbalanced, becase they did not balance the game mechanics!

If you take Final Fantasy on the NES and you double the experience rate, THE GAME BECOMES IMBALANCED, because now you level far too fast. Nothing else in the game is changed. The bosses do not account for the level you'll reach when you get to them. The enemies are not changed to account for the fact that you level twice as fast. You become overleveled quickly, and the game's entertainment value and structure are now imbalanced because the game was not rebalanced to account for that change.

Did they change the size of the cake when they decided to use double frosting? No, they didn't! That means the cake's flavor is imbalanced, because they did not account for how the extra frosting would fuck up the cake!

I seriouskly don't know how to make it any simpler. I can't. I cannot explain this in simpler terms. It's not a hard concept. if they modify an aspect of the gameplay and do not rebalance the other aspects to account for it the game is massively imbalanced.

hero mode in Wind Waker is imbalanced.
