Sorry but I cannot relate to feeling "manipulated" because someone wants something from you. She's allowed to ask for things, and you're allowed to say no. Doesn't make her some sort of scheming villain. Of course people in fandoms are gonna befriend each other based on what they know of each other, which is pretty much exclusively the quality of the work they produce. If I love someone's work and they give me the time of day I'd be be delighted to pick their brain and ask if they can create the kind of stuff I want from them, and if they can't, I don't take it personally. And if someone feels the same about me, I'm flattered, and I don't take it personally either that they don't have a deep personal attachment to me, whom they barely know.
