FAQ Friday: Masculinity

If you are a man then everything you do is masculine. Just like everything a woman does is feminine. As far as doing ‘manly’ things I love to lift weights, practice boxing/wrestling and jiu jitsu, fishing, riding dirt bikes and 4 wheelers and working on their engines, cutting the grass and taking care of my land etc But on the other hand I also love to cook, sing, dance, read and write, I write short stories and scripts, and to clean and interior decorate.

Don’t let somebody tell you you can’t do something just because it’s not ‘manly.’ If they are worried about that then it’s because they are just insecure of their own manhood and projecting that on to you. They most likely have something to hide the same way the biggest homophobes are usually in the closet themselves. Women that question it are usually just trying to get under your skin, if you make a big deal out of it instead of just letting it roll right of your back then that’s going to be a red flag to them. If you are sure of yourself then nothing anyone says should ever hurt your feelings. Being a man is doing whatever the hell makes you happy, as long as you are taking care of your business and not hurting anyone or anything do whatever you want.
