Far Cry 6 will email you calling you a failure if you stop playing the game.

I wonder, in Canada we have an anti-spam legislation that is suppose to protect consumers from stuff like this so honestly I'm also curious if this would fall under that umbrella.

The bigger thing I would ask is where in Ubisoft's usual agreements that they may hide a "you agree to marketing e-mails" option. I'd even hazard to guess people who do not want e-mails sent to them probably didn't even know they accepted the option, because they tend to get thrown at you at the beginning of a game or account creation and most people may just hit "accept, accept, accept" right away to get to playing.

Though I'm pretty sure somewhere in the account settings of company sites there is an option to opt out there too.
