Haven't seen an actual meme on this sub since I stopped posting them. This attempt at a meme just circlejerks around established opinions that everyone shares. I'm just pitching in with some reality to counter the perpetuated self-delusion by the hivemind, saying how great and infallible Linux is.

Linux is a vastly inferior product for the majority of users. Fact.

Fuck your tired old "server" argument. Yea, it runs on servers. Whoop dee doo. I couldn't give 2 shits, nor could literally anyone else, if servers ran on DOS, or Commodore 64. It's a non-argument.

The literally only thing Linux has going for it is because it doesn't spy on you, it has constant security updates, and it has added privacy from FOSS, and because hackers can't be assed to attack such a low number community that Linux has. And it is good for programmers, which I don't include in the "average user" category. And that's it.

All the good programs, all the good games, all the functionality, ease-of-use, and gui can be found on Windows and Mac. And that's the truth. Ubuntu is the pinnacle of functionality out of all Linuxes, but only because it abandoned all the things Linux stands for (like making everything a chore for new users, and throwing FOSS out of the window).

In short: if you wanna play the 50% of the actually good AAA games, then Windows is your OS. If you wanna use any of the good programs- Windows. If you wanna browse the internet and play the 50% of shitty shovelware games, and use shit-tier foss programs, then Linux is better.
