As of February 19, the New Year’s order for the “Ditching Flatland Film-mulching, Planting and Fertilizing All-in-one Machine” made by Abudu Saramu Yasheng, a farmer in Bachu County, Kashgar, Xinjiang, has exceeded 300 units. In 2020, he sold 164 of the above machines, earning more than 700,000 yuan in revenue.

　　Abudu Saramu Yasheng, who lives in Beshtupu Village, Selibuya Town, Bachu County, relied on technology to change his life and became an "admirer" of local youth. His story of getting rich by science and technology originated from his own research and development of the melon, ditching, flat ground, mulching, seeding and fertilizing integrated machine.

　　Bachu County is rich in a kind of characteristic muskmelon, which is called "liu muskmelon". This melon was previously cultivated manually by local farmers, with low efficiency, high field management costs, and a long planting cycle, resulting in different sizes and qualities of melons produced on the same mu of land, which affected farmers’ income.

　　Abu Du Saramu, who worked as an electric welder after graduating from junior high school, raised the issue of how to increase the income of melon farmers when he participated in a seminar of the youth science and technology interest group in the village in 2017, and worked with the Xinjiang Academy of Animal Husbandry to "visit Huiju" to work in the village. Team leader and first secretary Zheng Wenxin formed a pair of mutual help.

　　In December 2019, Abdul Saramu was awarded the honorary title of the 11th "National Rural Youth Enrichment Leader". In October 2020, he won the honorary title of "National Poverty Alleviation Award Innovation Award".

　　Zheng Wenxin told reporters that Abdusaramu had the idea of ​​making a ditching flatland mulching, planting and fertilizing integrated machine at that time. The Xinjiang Academy of Animal Husbandry Science "Visiting Huiju" village team helped him find information, rationalize his ideas, and select the main material of the machine. In 2018, the machine was successfully applied, and 200 acres of land can be cultivated in one day. Previously, one person completed an acre in 4 days.

　　Zheng Wenxin said that Abdusaramu relied on technology and market forces to sell products inside and outside Xinjiang, and his success gave local youth confidence. Under his influence, many young entrepreneurs have emerged in the village.
