Father says son with autism didn't intend to harm woman in St. John's Park

I feel empathy but I'd still rather not get raped. This woman is going to have ptsd. I urge you to read her personal account of what happened on Facebook. She is traumatized while the man gets to go on about his life not even realizing he's done anything wrong. There's a huge difference there. I get it, my cousin is autistic, I know what my aunt and uncle have gone through. It's incredibly difficult. But, at the end of the day they are responsible for their child. Doesn't mean that we don't need to overhaul the mental health care system (actually the whole health care system) but we can feel a little empathy but also blame people for things and be frustrated and vent. It's life.

I know if my child attacked an innocent woman and tried to rape her I sure as fuck would NOT be coming up with excuses.
