This father will do anything but accept his kid for who they are. I've reached the point of the internet where I've lost all connection to this world.

Question. If the definition of Bigotry means "obstinate or unreasonable attachment to a belief, opinion, or faction, in particular prejudice against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group"

Would it be bigotry to hate Christians for believing that opposite sex is a sin due to their religion, and for a father to be against it?

I only ask, because the mods sticky makes it sound like Bigotry would only be defined as someone who is bashing on the LGBTQ community, but in reality that definition has a larger scope in many different areas/groups.

I don't want to get downvoted to oblivion, but I think we should respect the fathers opinion from a wider scope of view. What if he's worried that this might just be a phase? the child is in high school. I have seen so many "lesbians." from high school, quit it all at once and settle down/become parents. I think the father may just be worried that the daughter/son is having a mental breakdown of who they are, and can't accept the world. It's 2023, we accept everyone now, and it's pretty shit not to. So I think the Father may be Angry at the Trans-Ideology as if that is what drove his child to near suicide? Can't that be a take on this? or are we just going to assume the father only hates LGBTQ without further explanation? Maybe this father is blaming Trans as the reason his child is going to commit suicide, therefore he hates it. Wouldn't you hate something if it killed someone you cared about? Or drove someone to death? You'd hate War, if you brother never made it home. You'd hate Guns if your child never returned from school. You'd hate surgeons if your child died in surgery. You'd hate Trans if your child couldn't accept who they were and slit their wrists.
