Faux outrage, brought to you, in-part, by Faux News

As mentioned before:

  • FOIA to release his public emails
  • One chain of emails was from a researcher in California who mentioned an anomaly in the virus
  • said anomaly was that the virus had formed in a way that looked different from expected variations in nature
  • said researcher then mentions the possibility (low) that this virus could of been manufactured in a lab

What hasn’t helped is the media’s insatiable desire to control information:

  • major news networks have been removing videos of incorrect statements made by government officials
  • while the removals were just old videos people kept citing to show that our government isn’t perfect (valid statement), it has sparked many to believe that this is the government trying to censor the truth
  • furthermore, people blankety saying “Stop questioning the emails” aren’t helping; they should be looking at the chain of emails talking about the anomalies and have scientists explain it in detail (even if people don’t understand, some will and will spread the info accordingly).

As an American, I believe we should always question our leadership, our media platforms shouldn’t try to erase the past, and that we need to adhere to facts, otherwise we end up the mess above where people have a sliver of wiggle room to fuel their conspiracies.
