Faves and Fails Friday

Colourpop "Nillionaire" SSS: If colourpop discontinue this eyeshadow, I'm going to literally cry like a baby. This is STUNNING.It's the most beautiful glittery golden brown colour that is so easy to apply and makes every eye colour pop (I have brown eyes and I generally avoid brown shimmers, however this colour is so glittery and shiny, and the golden undertone really brings out all the yellow tones in my eyes). I'm blown away every single time I apply it.

Mac 170 brush: This is the foundation brush that made me believe in foundation brushes.I used to use the Sigma f80,which I thought was just ok,and I just didn't know what I've been missing all this time. This brush is capable of putting the beauty blender into shame (and I'm a beauty blender kind of girl). It's extremely soft on the skin but also flexible,it doesn't drag, and it gives a gorgeous, airbrushed finish without ANY streaks, while also blurring the pores.I've used it with all of my foundations and so far I prefer it over the beauty blender for every single one of them.If you are a foundation brush person,GRAB this brush,it will change your foundation game.

Shiseido Synchro Skin self refreshing foundation: I've been using this foundation for the last two weeks, and at I first I thought it was just decent.I was so wrong. This is my new HG full coverage foundation.Excellent coverage, natural matte finish and EXTREMELY smoothing. This is the most smoothing foundation I've ever come across,it makes every pore, line or imperfection on your face vanish, and it lasts beautifully without setting with powder. It also feels very soft, almost velvet to the touch.Paired with the Mac 170 brush especially, it's a match made in heaven.I love it so much. The only cons: First of all,if you use too much,it has a tendency to look heavy (which is why I wasn't impressed with it in the beginning). Personally I've found that 2 pumps is perfect for a natural full coverage for my skin(the pump disperses a smaller amount than usual pumps,so 2 pumps equals 1-1,5 normal pump of foundation). Secondly,it will probably not work for dry skin, imo.Thirdly,I personally think that, while it applies just fine with a beauty blender, it's definitely better applied with a brush. Fourthly,it has spf 30(which may not be deal breaker for you, if you are not taking pictures).

Mac single eyeshadow in "natural wilderness": This is part of the new Visual Arts collection, which features a wide variety of new shades in an updated formula.I don't think that it's available in the US yet, and I'm not sure if the new shades are permanent additions to the range of limited edition.
