Favourite Ted lasso character moments & personality traits as we close out season 2

There's a few moments that have stuck out to me, and with all the character developments this season I find myself thinking back on them pretty often.

A favorite of mine is when Roy was delegated to the bench in Season 1. We see how big of a blow it was to Roy's ego and confidence. The great Roy Kent becoming a second stringer in what would eventually end up being his last season as a footballer.

What added more weight was Ted's reluctance to do it, and the friction it created between him and his staff, Nate and Coach Beard, when he refused to even consider it. We even see our first, and perhaps only, fight between Ted and Coach Beard.

Ted really really wanted to believe in Roy. We see his struggle in dealing with what was in his heart (to have Roy's back) versus what his brain was telling was best for the team (benching Roy). He knew what being benched would mean to Roy and that made the decision all the more harder.

We know what ended up happening and the team, and show, is all the better for it. But in the final scene of the episode there's one moment that I really loved. As the credits roll, we see the last few players lace up their shoes, exchange personal handshakes with Roy and leave for the pitch.

Ted and Coach Beard leave too and Roy's now the last person in the room. When he knows nobody's around to see him, he walks up and taps the "BELIEVE" sign above Ted's door.

Yes, it's a little corny and maybe a tad bit predictable, but this is the moment where I realized Ted had won them all over. The last of the stubborn apples, the obstinate Roy Kent, had finally started to believe.
